Apple stop selling iPhone Screen Protectors

Apple have announced that they are to stop selling iPhone and iPod screen protectors, claiming that the screens are tough enough without this additional layer.

I am now on my second iPhone and on each one I have had a screen protector on it to endure it does not get scratched whilst in my pocket, however, a week or so ago i had to take it off due to it getting a bit grubby and I have to say the interaction with the screen now is more pleasing and of course the image quality is so much better.  If you were a builder I would recommend you still go for one, but then again I would not take an iPhone on to a building site!

All our IT Support engineers use them and they have elected not to use the screenies and since they got their new last July they are still in  perfect condition so, hey Apple may be right!
